Vladivostok to host Russian Labour Safety Week – Far East on 10–11 July
The Primorsky Territory government will host the Russian Labour Safety Week – Far East Regional Forum in Vladivostok on 10–11 July 2024. The Forum is a satellite event of Russian Labour Safety Week (RLSW) 2024.
“The Primorsky Territory is the leader of the Far Eastern Federal District and one of the leading regions in the country in terms of the quality of occupational safety. This is the result of the well-coordinated work of managers at enterprises, as well as the regional authorities. Training seminars, lectures, roundtables, and outreach campaigns at the local level help to create healthy working conditions and promote a safe culture and safe activities. The RLSW – Far East Forum will allow us to share our successful cases with colleagues and learn about their practices and solutions to labour safety problems,” Minister of Labour and Social Policy of the Primorsky Territory Svetlana Krasitskaya said.
The business programme will include more than 10 expert discussions, at which speakers will discuss the outsourcing of the main processes of the occupational safety management system, a new procedure for conducting a special assessment of working conditions, financial support for preventive measures to reduce industrial injuries, and many other aspects of ensuring safety in the workplace. Particular attention will be paid to the maritime industry, which employs the majority of workers in the region and involves difficult working conditions. As part of the Forum’s business programme, the Forum participants will exchange experience and discuss key issues concerning occupational safety at companies that transport and store goods, as well as shipbuilding and ship repair enterprises in order to improve the application of occupational safety legislation in Russia.
The Russian Labour Safety Week – Far East Regional Forum is a satellite event of the 9th Russian Labour Safety Week, which will take place on 10–13 September at the Sirius Federal Territory (Krasnodar Territory). The event is being organized by the Russian Ministry of Labour and Social Protection and managed by the Roscongress Foundation.
