THE ARCHITECTURE OF THE PROGRAMME FOR THE 7TH RUSSIAN LABOUR SAFETY WEEK HAS BEEN PUBLISHED

The 7th Russian Labour Safety Week, which will take place on 27–30 September 2022 in the Sirius Park of Science and Art in Sochi, has unveiled the architecture of its business programme. There are more than 100 events planned and more than 3,000 delegates are expected to take part. The Youth Day will bring together some 1,000 students from 40 of the country's leading higher education institutions. ROSATOM, Gazprom, Rostec, NORNICKEL, Russian Railways and other companies will showcase their best practices in creating a safe working environment at their companies. Also scheduled is a roundtable of CIS countries on occupational safety and health. The meetings will be held by representatives of the Russian Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, the Federal Service for Labour and Employment, the Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation, the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation, and other agencies. "The Russian Labour Safety Week platform is always an open dialogue between government, business and the expert community on the key issues of health and safety in the workplace. This year we will focus on practical work in view of the new Section 10 of the Labour Code. We will discuss the introduction of new risk management mechanisms at individual enterprises. We will talk about current trends in vocational education in the field of occupational safety. The Russian Labour Safety Week will bring together more than 120 enterprises and about 5,000 visitors," said Anton Kotyakov, Head of the Russian Ministry of Labour and Social Protection. The key event will be a plenary session on "Managing professional risks through the lens of new legislative developments." Particular attention will be paid to government health and safety management and supervision, information technology in health and safety, new rules for providing employees with personal protective equipment and comprehensive safety in the coal mining, energy and other sectors. Also discussed will be medical examinations for employees, prevention of cardiovascular diseases and creating a healthy psychological and emotional working environment. Russia's leading companies will also take part in an exhibition at the Russian Labour Safety Week. At its stand, ROSATOM will showcase innovations in occupational health and safety. Vostok-Servis-SpecKomplekt, Russia's largest manufacturer and supplier of protective clothing, safety footwear and personal protective equipment, will showcase its new products. Visitech, a participant in the Skolkovo project, will present the latest solutions in the field of operational efficiency management and industrial safety at companies in the oil and gas, metallurgical, energy, chemical, transport, nuclear and mining industries. In addition, the Russian Labour Safety Week will include the results of the 'Best Occupational Safety Specialist' and 'Best Occupational Safety Digital Solutions’ competitions. It will also host the Russian national ranking of medium and small businesses by levels of occupational safety, and the finals of the 'Work-Knowledge-Safety: Occupational Safety Specialist' tournament. As is tradition, there will be an industry exhibition showcasing manufacturers and distributors of health and safety equipment. The Russian Labour Safety Week is organized by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Russian Federation and operated by the Roscongress Foundation.
